lbo's summer internships
Long Beach Opera is hiring two interns for Summer 2015! If you are a current college student who goes to school or lives in LA County, and who wants to learn all about the inner workings of a cutting edge opera company, we want to meet you!
Both internships are 10 week, paid full-time positions.
Internship #1: Marketing Intern The Marketing Intern will help develop an effective marketing strategy that appeals to both established and new audiences this presents a unique challenge when promoting innovative exploration of a centuries-old art form. The intern will discover that by highlighting the unconventional qualities that make LBO stand apart from other opera companies, they can engage opera aficionados and newcomers alike. LBO’s intimate staff size will allow the intern to work directly with the company’s creative leaders, and this close interaction will create a valuable learning experience for the intern.
Internship #2: Development Intern The Development Intern will learn or expand their knowledge in database management, computer programs, planning and project management, and persuasive writing. The intern will assist developing and implementing special events, research donors and compile information for use by development team, assist with maintenance with the donor database. Additionally, the intern will participate heavily in team building activities and event management.
