McCall's directorial debut in the realm of opera was a remarkable one, taking place at Long Beach Opera for the world premiere of THE ROMANCE OF THE ROSE in 2023. This audacious production, directed by James Darrah with associate director McCall Cadenas, delved into fantastical adventures and explored themes of beauty and absurdity in a dreamlike world.
