Katrina Herrera

Katrina is a musician, mystic, and lover of the arts! A Southern California native, she knew from the age of six that she loved opera, singing, and everything music. After undergrad as a Voice Major at Chapman University, the soprano moved herself to Hartford, CT for the Masters program at the Hartt School at University of Hartford. There, she continued her voice studies but decided to put grad school on hold. Somehow, two years flew by and she made the choice to return home to sunny SoCal, where she pursued her vocal career by means of sacred classical music, singing throughout LA and Orange Counties as a soprano soloist, section leader, and cantor. She can currently be found every Sunday singing her heart out at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Anaheim.
Simultaneously upon her return from the East Coast, she discovered a passion for the nonprofit sector and has since maintained a meaningful career in various development leadership roles.
Working for Long Beach Opera is the most harmonious combination of art and fundraising she could have ever dreamed of! Every day is a gift.

Additionally, Katrina is a Long Beach resident, sings with the Meistersingers, a professional choral group in Orange County, is a professional Tarot Reader and Voice Alchemy Practitioner, and a “cool” mom to her sprightly little daughter Chiara and magical black cat Meowzetta.
