Yekaterina lynch Bio

Yekaterina Lynch is an emerging Los Angeles-based stage director whose work spans opera, new music, and interdisciplinary performance. With a dual foundation as an opera singer and professional writer, Yekaterina approaches direction from a place of rigorous musicianship, multilingual performance, and collaborative storytelling. Having completed her degree in Opera Performance at UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music under the Elaine Krown Klein and Mimi Alpert Feldman scholarships, she has spent several years at San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Pre-College Program, and studied at the prestigious Odessa Conservatory in Ukraine. Most recently, Yekaterina acted as Associate Director of Opera UCLA’s spring production, Handel’s Rodrigo, and has Assistant Directed several Opera UCLA productions, including a Kurt Weill Cabaret of entirely devised theater commemorating the works of Bertolt Brecht. In addition to stage direction, Yekaterina currently conducts Con Brio, one of UCLA’s student-led string orchestras, and occasionally continues to play piano.
